QFAS has published a new book, Living in the Mystery: Between Head and Heart by Jan Arriens. Jan is a member of QFAS and we were very happy to agree to publish the book. It’s available from Fee Berry (firstname.lastname@example.org) and costs £7 including postage and packing.
In this book, Jan Arriens grapples with the tension between rationality and intuition and scepticism and experience that has played such a big part in his life. On the basis of happenings in his own life and in the lives of others, including prisoners facing execution, Jan looks at the validity and significance of such experiences.
He explores the mystery at the heart of our existence, examining whether seemingly inexplicable experiences suggest a wholly different realm of consciousness, and how we can encounter a whole new level of love, compassion and awe – and also confront doubt.
